Description
With a 180-degree view of the lake and mountains, this cozy log home provides a private, secluded stay on the shores of Hayden Lake. Located near the site of the old Hayden Lake Schoolhouse, you'll wake up to the sun shimmering off of the water and enjoy 150 feet of sandy beaches and easy lake access from the private 40-foot dock. Prepare a meal in the fully-equipped kitchen or on the outdoor grill and enjoy it on the large deck or around the firepit. A woodstove fireplace makes this a cozy place to snuggle up in winter, and you can partake during the summer possibilities in swimming, fishing, boating, paddling, and plenty of sunshine.
We recommend getting groceries and any other items you may need before you arrive. While not extremely remote, the road is somewhat more winding and slower than your average drive. And once you get to the lake cabin you won't want to leave! There is a US Forest Service campground half a mile away for visitors, but camping space is also available on the property.
This home is particularly special to me. The property and the 15 acres behind it were purchased by my grandfather in the 1940s, and he built the cabin in1960. My father remodeled the home, I bought it from him in 2005, and we have worked hard to keep the rich heritage in the family for our own grandchildren. We thought we could share the natural beauty and peacefulness of our family cabin with you, and we truly hope that you enjoy it!
